LIBERTY BROADBAND TO ACQUIRE GCI LIBERTY IN $12.4B DEAL
August 6, 2020: Liberty Broadband Corporation (“Liberty Broadband”)(NASDAQ: LBRDA, LBRDK) and GCI Liberty, Inc. (“GCI Liberty”) (NASDAQ: GLIBA, GLIBP) announced that they have entered into a definitive merger agreement under which
Liberty Broadband has agreed to acquire GCI Liberty in a stock for stock merger. GCI operates and owns interests in a broad range of communications businesses. The deal is worth ~$12.4 billion (EV/Revenue: 12.98x and EV/EBITDA: 54.86x)
INTERCONTINENTAL EXCHANGE ACQUIRES ELLIE MAE FOR $11B
August 6, 2020: Intercontinental Exchange (NYSE: ICE), a leading operator of global exchanges and clearing houses and provider of mortgage technology, data and listing services, acquired Ellie Mae, a cloud based platform provider for the mortgage finance industry, from leading private equity firm Thoma Bravo. VERIZON TO ACQUIRE TRACFONE WITH AMERICA MOVIL IN $6.9B DEAL
September 14, 2020: Verizon (NYSE: VZ) announced that it has entered into an agreement with America Movil to acquire Tracfone, the leading pre paid and value
mobile provider in the US. The acquisition expands Verizon’s portfolio into the value segment, bringing enhanced access to its industry leading wireless network and comprehensive suite of mobility products and services to a new customer base. The deal is worth ~$6.9 billion.
CLAYTON, DUBILIER & RICE TO ACQUIRE EPICOR FROM KKR FOR $4.7B
August 31, 2020: Clayton, Dubilier & Rice, a private investment firm, announced to acquire Epicor Software Corporation, a global provider of industry specific enterprise software to industrial focused sectors, from leading global investment firm KKR. CD&R plans to expand Epicor by building cloud based products with a software as a service model, as well as acquiring other companies in the sector. The deal is worth ~$4.7 billion.
